Some facts I can disclose about this recipe for Chocolate Crackle Cupcakes...
- I've had it in my collection for a very long time. How do I know one might ask? It's written on a recipe card from the 70s.
- The word oleo is used in the ingredients...no disrespect to my grandmothers, but that's a term used way back then.
- The recipe card it's written on is soiled and torn.
- I no longer write like the print the recipe is written in. The handwriting looks more like how I wrote in high school.
- The recipe is memorable because I have thought of it many times.
- This recipe has been lost more than I want to admit. Luckily, I always find it!
- I have no idea where or from whom I got this recipe.
- These cupcakes are super easy to make!
They are YUMMY! These are the cupcake liners I choose this go around...
Chocolate Crackle Cupcakes
2 sticks oleo
6 oz. chocolate chips
4 eggs, slightly beaten
1 cup flour
pinch of salt
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup nuts
Melt oleo and chocolate chips. Add remaining ingredients and mix until smooth.
Pour into cupcake liners, filling each 2/3 full. Bake 30-35 minutes at 325 degree F.
