Blueberry Salad
2 small packages grape-flavored gelatin
2 cups water, boiling
1 small can crushed pineapple, well drained
1 can blueberry pie filling
Topping
1 large package cream cheese
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cups pecans, chopped
Dissolve gelatin in boiling water.
Add pineapple and blueberry pie filling.
Mix well and congeal.
Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines....
congeal as "to change from a fluid to a
solid state by or as if by cold"
Topping: Mix together the first 4 ingredients.
Spread over congealed salad.
Sprinkle with chopped nuts on top.
Sounds yummy...I'm going to give this a try but make it skinny by using reduced-fat cream cheese and fat-free sour cream!
